August 6 - WIND ENERGY! Driving on Highway 12 between I5 and I80, we passed these very active windmills. The wind was tremendous, but what really cought our attention was the size of these massive blades. I like this shot because of the cool clouds setting drama to the picture.
You will note the tiny trees on the left side of this shot, these are full size, 30 - 40 foot trees. Looking closer, you will see two palm trees, estimated to be about 30 feet tall with a barn building to the left of them.
Does anyone have any thoughts on what crop is growing in the foreground? we could not identify it, but it was growing everywhere!
