June 27 - My son and I just returned from our first ever backpacking adventure. We were in the Yosemite Back Country for four days (Sunday through today) and had an amazing trip. It will take me some time to sort through all of the pictures (I hauled my D200 with only the 18 - 70 lens and a light tripod...most of the other backpackers commented, "that is not a backpacking camera" I carried it in my hand all of the 27 miles we did...haha).

This shot is from our first stop...we began in Tuolumne Meadows and hiked to the Cathedral Lakes (That is Cathedral Peak and reflection in the shot here). Although it was only 4 miles into the trail, we stayed a night here because it was BEAUTIFUL!!

I will post more later...it was a grand trip and I hope to do more....hopefully I will be in better shape next time!
