goldenmoon > June 27 - My son and I just returned from our first ever backpacking adventure. We were in the Yosemite Back Country for four days (Sunday through today) and had an amazing trip. It will take me some time to sort through all of the pictures (I hauled my D200 with only the 18 - 70 lens and a light tripod...most of the other backpackers commented, "that is not a backpacking camera" I carried it in my hand all of the 27 miles we did...haha). This shot is from our first stop...we began in Tuolumne Meadows and hiked to the Cathedral Lakes (That is Cathedral Peak and reflection in the shot here). Although it was only 4 miles into the trail, we stayed a night here because it was BEAUTIFUL!! I will post more later...it was a grand trip and I hope to do more....hopefully I will be in better shape next time!

goldenmoon > June 15 - SWIMMING IN CLOVER - this shot was taken on a walk through of the redwoods in the Santa Cruz Mountains...the clover was everywhere and really beautiful, this oak leaf seemed to stand out, and I thought the contrast was nice.
goldenmoon > June 14 - SUMMER FLAGS - This shot is from the pier near the Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk...these colorful flags caught my eye while walking on the beach and I decided to take the shot.
goldenmoon > June 13 - These guys were very resourceful drinking from this tap at the fish washing station on a dock in Santa Cruz!
goldenmoon > June 8 - While painting we heard our newest bird (nesting near our front door) terrorizing our cat, Milky. It was at dusk, so the lighting was not good, this is not a great shot, but we thought it was quite funny!
goldenmoon > June 8 - Adding two pictures today...we were painting our son's room today and this guy decided to get stuck in the paint...as you can see, he left tracks!
